YOLOBOLO

My years long passion project has been making custom bolo ties. It is a long story as to how I got to that point, but It has been an entrepreneurial fantasy of mine going back to around 2012. I have spent years on product development, following and predicting fashion trends. I have invested thousands of dollars and thousands of hours, and mental attention. And what has it amounted to?

I would have to sell a lot of bolo ties to 1. get out of the red and into the black and 2. ever make a profit. But is that the whole point? Of course not! I'm not handmaking bolo ties or a profit! It is a lifestyle.

And yet, the concept of a "lifestyle brand" is a major vertical business model that has hit its stride in the instagram era. Maybe now is the time?

Or maybe my talents and energy could be put to better use beside making an extremely niche fashion accessory ?

Only time will tell! What do you think?
